Components

Lextra Retail products are made from the world's highest quality and patented Lextra Brand High Performance Fiber Graphics process and raw materials. They feel smooth as velour, while the pure nylon fibers are tough enough to be also used for DODGE RAM logos on pickup truck floor mats.

MouseRugs and CoasterRugs

The MouseRug and CoasterRug surfaces are made with world-patented Lextra® yarn-dyed nylon fiber coating process (see image above) and they are printed without ink. The quality may be compared to high-wear carpeting construction, although on a much finer scale. The fibers are .75 millimeters long (more than 7 million on each MouseRug)--lovely soft feel, precise mouse tracking (optical OR ball) and never hot or cold or sticky to the touch!

Fibers are permanently locked into base adhesives--designs for truck floormats are made with the same process.

The natural rubber base material is made in the U.S.A. from rubber that comes from trees in southeast Asia.

Fringed ends of the MouseRugs and CoasterRugs are custom produced at a textile mill in the Carolinas--the same company making fringe for well-known makers full size rugs.

Bookrugs

BookRugs are manufactured with the new, patent-pending LextraFilm manufacturing technology and raw materials. LextraFilm helps create products with the same exact fine fiber coating--and for the BookRug the fibers are on the top and the bottom!

Newly developed materials and technology also endows the MouseRug with a super-tough core constructed of three urethane film layers comprised of two different types of urethane, all fused together. Although we do not recommend it, we have actually not seen children OR dogs being able to tear or bite through the beautiful BookRugs!

Nine of the long-time best-selling MouseRug designs have been re-created in the BookRug format and are in stock for immediate sale.

We have made the pleasant discovery with the BookRug that serious book people are liking the unique stress-relieving properties of the BookRug as we caught them stroking it while reading; and they looked so relaxed!
