A quick trip to the local Pier One store resulted in the purchase of a few hand woven place mats, from which the fringed ends were clipped. These became the fringed ends of the first MouseRug Mock-Ups which helped enable the vision of what the product would look like, in combination with FiberLok's patented Lextra flock transfer graphics. The first MouseRugs were produced as gifts for FiberLok apparel customers, which also helped show off the Lextra technology. When these apparel customers began to clamor for more MouseRugs the business was born!
