The Unicorn Rests in a Garden (1495–1505) is an iconic French and South Netherlandish textile belonging to the famous Unicorn Tapestries at The Met Cloisters. The beloved medieval masterwork, reproduced here on this mouse rug, depicts a unicorn resting in a garden enclosure beneath a pomegranate tree, enveloped by a millefleurs backdrop of richly symbolic plants.
